Meet the Editor

My name is Kathryn, and I’m currently a neuroscience research assistant! I work at Georgia State University where I study fear learning and related eating behaviors. I received both my Bachelor’s and Master’s of Neuroscience at Georgia State University. This is currently my full-time job, but the goal is to be able to fully transition into freelance copyediting in the next year!

From the moment I could write, I was writing stories and poems. I’m also a huge fan of reading (subtle brag: I taught myself how to read!), and English grammar just makes sense to me. I’m also neurodivergent, so tiny details like missing commas or misplaced phrases always stand out to me, which makes the whole editing process enjoyable!

I’m in the process of receiving an Editing certificate from University of Chicago Graham School with a focus on medical copyediting. I’m very much looking forward to gaining more knowledge and being able to apply it in my work.
